Reading News for October 17-21

We finished benchmarking the kindergarten last week and will be discussing the results with the kindergarten teachers on Tuesday.
I am continuing to enjoy working in Mrs. Amish's and Mrs. Sis's classrooms and watching the first graders grow weekly in their reading skills.
My first grade intervention group is working hard and we are learning all about how to sound out words by tapping, as well as, practicing sight words.
I am working with Mrs. Schultz's second grade group as well in the afternoon and we are having a great time reading new books in small groups.
My second grade intervention group is also working hard on glued sounds and vowel teams.  We are also drilling those trick words that can be so "tricky".

Friday is the Family Halloween Party at Ide, as well as, progress reports will be sent home.

Have a great week!
